Interoperability Consulting Pty Ltd (IOC Pty Ltd) is an Australian owned company established in November 2000, based in Canberra. IOC is an "above the line" consultancy providing services to Australian Defence Force organisations and supporting Defence Industry.
IOC currently provides specialist engineers supporting Australian Command, Control, Computer, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) programs. Our engineers include internationally recognised Subject Matter Experts (SME) in Communications and Tactical Data Link Engineering as well as Training and Message Text Formats.  Technical services include interoperability advice and support to key Defence Materiel Ogranisation projects in the acquisition process. Support is in the form of Data Link Standards, Australian Message Text Format, Configuration Management and Tactical Information Exchange (TIE) systems analysis that considers first-hand experience with Systems from Australia, Pacific Region Partners, the United States and NATO Nations. The aggregate IOC level of experience enables a thorough examination and assessment of a TIE system's interoperability design and actual communications performance.

IOC has had involvement with Single Service (Australian Navy, Army and Air Force) and Tri-Service Organisations, in the U.S. Single and Joint Services, as well as, NATO member nations. This involvement includes Interoperability Agencies, Configuration Management Forums, Technical Working Groups, Symposiums and tri-lateral meetings with the Australian, U.S. and New Zealand Interoperability Committee headed by the respective government staffs. Therefore, IOC brings with it a wide range of government and commercial experiences that are recognised internationally as experts in the C4ISR disciplines.
